Appointment in Samarra

It was interesting to read of someone’s own undoing, but a lot of the dialogue is difficult to follow and the actual content is somewhat inane. It’s messy, chaotic and without any rhyme or reason – some sort of realism in that. But I’ve seen it done better; read Breakfast of Champions.
